OUR TEACHERS
Christopher Tellez is the founder of SF REIKI CENTER. Christopher teaches Reiki, as a Master Teacher, treats clients, and develops all SF REIKI CENTER programs.
He started practicing Reiki in 2010 and became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2016 after studying under Brain Brunius of NYC REIKI CENTER and completing a rigorous two-years Master Apprenticeship, 2000 hours of client sessions, and presentation of his thesis on Needs Assessment of the Bay Area Reiki Community.
Christopher holds a master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and holds an LCSW. With his advanced clinical and Reiki training he holds space in a profound and safe way while exploring with client’s what kind of life they desire, identifying old patterns and beliefs that are no longer working, and stepping into one’s power to create life -long changes clients desire.
Christopher sees clients experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, those going through surgery, members of the LGBT community, people with cancer and HIV, children, people working on changing negative thoughts and belief patterns, and on occasion animals.
Christopher sits on the board member of Reiki Centers of America and the Northwest Reiki Gathering, and is an active member of the Reiki Alliance.
Reiki Master Ann Massie began teaching in 2023 at her in-home practice SF Reiki Healing in the Outer Sunset. Her Master's training was a three-year process at SF Reiki Center with Christopher Tellez that included, 2000 client hours, and a master thesis project -Hawayo Takata: Reiki Healing. She completed Reiki First and Second Degrees at San Francisco Reiki Center in 2018 and completed the Certified Reiki Practitioner Program in 2019.
Originally from Boston, Ann has lived in New York and San Francisco working in a fast-paced creative field. The stress of daily life as a single mom with two children in a demanding field eventually had a negative impact on her health. She realized she had to focus on her health and subsequently left that career. One of the most powerful avenues back to health was Reiki.
Twice a friend suggested she try a Reiki treatment, once after breast cancer surgery and the second after her MS diagnosis. Chronic fatigue was overwhelming, and she finally said “OK, what have I got to lose?” After being treated regularly, Ann felt her energy return, her anxiety abated, and she felt hopeful again. This led her to learn Reiki enabling her to give back.
After completing Reiki I and Reiki II classes in 2017, she began to see a variety of clients, these included people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and eating disorders. She has helped clients who want to quiet their minds and obsessive thinking. People who suffer from back pain, hearing loss, Crohn’s disease as well as grief and loss. People who want to deepen their spiritual practice.
Reiki Master Dave Hadley began teaching in 2021 (after a two-year 2000-hour training at SF Reiki Center with Christopher Tellez). Dave started his studies in 2015 with Brian Brunius of NYC Reiki Center.
Dave Hadley is the founder of Awakened Light Reiki and teaches and sees clients at his home office in the Mission District. He also teaches Reiki Classes at SF Reiki Center – also located in the Mission.

He has been a long-standing friend of the LGBTQI community and has been of service through volunteering during the SF AIDS crisis, group homes for at-risk children, and home and hospital visits for sick as well as for terminally ill patients.
