Christopher Tellez
Founder & Reiki Master

Christopher Tellez is the founder of SF REIKI CENTER. Christopher teaches Reiki, as a Master Teacher, treats clients, and develops all SF REIKI CENTER programs.

He started practicing Reiki in 2010 and became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2016 after studying under Brain Brunius of NYC REIKI CENTER and completing a rigorous two-years Master Apprenticeship, 2000 hours of client sessions, and presentation of his thesis on Needs Assessment of the Bay Area Reiki Community.

Christopher holds a master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and holds an LCSW. With his advanced clinical and Reiki training he holds space in a profound and safe way while exploring with client’s what kind of life they desire, identifying old patterns and beliefs that are no longer working, and stepping into one’s power to create life -long changes clients desire.

Christopher sees clients experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, those going through surgery, members of the LGBT community, people with cancer and HIV, children, people working on changing negative thoughts and belief patterns, and on occasion animals.

Christopher sits on the board member of Reiki Centers of America  and the Northwest Reiki Gathering, and is an active member of the Reiki Alliance.

Andrei Torres
Reiki Master Candidate

Andrei started his studies at SF REIKI CENTER in 2014 and is a current Reiki Master Candidate.

Being of Mexican descent, Andrei grew up around healers of indigenous Mexican traditions (Curanderxs). As a child, Andrei was once healed of a serious stomach condition or "empacho" by a curandera. Later, at 8 years old, Andrei's appendix burst and he received life-saving emergency surgery. Having been saved by both conventional and traditional medicine growing up, Andrei became inspired to be a healer and physician. Today Andrei holds a Master of Public Health degree from San Francisco State University and is preparing to apply to Physician Assistant school. He looks forward to working with underserved Latinx farm-working communities as a physician and healer.

On his off time, Andrei co-leads youth Capoeira classes, an Afro-Brazilian art form, and enjoys meditating in the city and dancing salsa with his partner. He is excited to share the gift of Reiki with the world! Andrei sees clients from all walks of life and is especially looking forward to working with the Spanish speaking community.

Keiko Mukai
Certified Reiki Practitioner

Keiko started her Reiki practice journey in August 2020. She completed her Reiki First and Second Degrees at SF Reiki Center in 2020 and 2021. She completed the Certified Reiki Practitioner Program at the beginning of 2023 with 200+ hours of practice. She sees clients in person for private sessions, distance, and online.

Why Reiki? Reiki helped her to develop her spiritual growth and understand the importance of physical, emotional, and mental balance. She discovered that Reiki allowed her to be of service to others by connecting to the universal life energy. Learning under Reiki master Christopher Tellez and mentor Ann Massie has helped her develop her Reiki skills and experiences.

Originally from Japan, she has lived in Washington State, Boston, New York, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco; she graduated from Washington State University with Business Hospitality Management Major, working in a fast-paced hospitality field for more than 10 years. She enjoys working with people and has a passion for natural healing, wellness, and inner harmony.

Liz sewell
Reiki Master Candidate

Liz began her Reiki journey in 2022 and is currently a Reiki Master Candidate and the founder of the Oakland Reiki Center.

When Liz signed up for her first Reiki treatment in 2022, she thought she was signing up for a massage. What a surprise! After the treatment, Liz was amazed to feel calmer, more self-confident, and more powerful than ever before—and all without the use of any drugs! She immediately enrolled in Reiki I and II at SFRC in 2022, followed by the Certified Reiki Practitioner Program at the beginning of 2023. Since then, Liz has been dedicated to the practice of Reiki, accumulating over 500 hours of experience treating others.

As a child, Liz suffered from numerous health issues, including pneumonia, full-body eczema, and a pediatric stroke. For the first 40 years of her life, she relied on Western medicine to manage her health problems, including mental health issues such as panic, depression, and addiction. Through Reiki, Liz has been able to calm her mind, which has led to the natural resolution of many physical symptoms and chronic conditions. Her improved mental state has inspired her to share this healing modality as widely as possible.

Originally from Michigan, Liz has lived in Colorado, Illinois, Thailand, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a Master's in Urban Planning from the Bloustein School at Rutgers. Liz served in the Peace Corps in Thailand from 2011 to 2013. In addition to being a Reiki Practitioner, she works in local government.

Liz’s Reiki clients include individuals with cancer, chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, allergies, digestive issues, addiction, anxiety, and depression. She enjoys watching client perspectives change - often after just one treatment! She spends most days in awe of this healing modality
